The timeless colour of terracotta

Where the eye recognises harmony, beauty emerges

Antique. Classic red. Greige. The choice of a pot is not just for its shape, patterns, or designs. Colour plays a vital role in its insertion in a place, indoors or outdoors. Once there was only the colour “terracotta” but time has revealed new perspectives on colour.

Antique

Sometimes more pinkish, sometimes almost imperceptibly the same as classic red, sometimes with nuances that are close to white. Always different, yet unique. Antique is alive and modern at the same time.

Heat, high temperatures, reaction to external agents, the combination of additives: all these factors alter the earth, change it, revolutionize it. Antique it’s a variant that gives openness to space and lends itself to both contemporary and more classic environments.

Greige

The birth of this chromatic tone starts from a long period of experimentation, of trials that produced different results. When the light hits it, the greige can look beige from some angles. In others, it takes on a decidedly darker tone, like an extremely deep grey. Yet the pot is always made of terracotta.

Among the various chemical reactions and complex processes, naturalness always remains at the centre. That’s where the magic lies. Greige is definitely more modern, current, and contemporary. It’s ideally suited to cold countries – more “Nordic” environments with minimalist architecture, where blue, grey, and white predominate. In its minimalism and simplicity, greige is a colour that expresses functionality and concreteness.

Classic red

It is by definition the colour of a terracotta pot, a unique and unmistakable colour. A pot in this shade can suit any setting.

Working the earth, one of the elements that fully represents naturalness, pots can be created with unique tones and effects, sometimes with a more classic spirit and aesthetic, other times with more modern tones. However, the essential aesthetic canons, the timeless classic style, and the authentic Italian atmosphere never change.
